Partner search under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund

Karmand Community Centre, a UK based charity, is looking for partners in order to submit a project proposal under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, within the call for proposals “Integration of Third Country Nationals” - AMIF-2016-AG-INTE-01 https://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/portal/desktop/en/opportunities/amif/topics/amif-2016-ag-inte-01.html.

The project will  aim to increase third country nationals’ participation in educational and social activities, cultural life, the volunteering sector, media professions, decision-making and representative frameworks through:

·         Language and citizenship classes;

·         Cross-cultural activities to promote community cohesion and cultural awareness including cookery classes and sports activities;

·         Discussion groups;

·         Consultations with local employers to stress importance of employing local residents and enable participants to become ‘job ready’;

·         Activities to address Low Achievement Levels;

·         Activities to address the discrimination and prejudice;

·         Encouraging volunteering.

Types of partners sought: Organisations which work directly to address disadvantage, exclusion and intolerance in disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Preferably, although not necessarily, Karmand Community Centre would prefer to establish a partnership with an organisation which has identified routes to citizenship and also has third country nationals from ex-colonies as well as refuges and asylum seekers.

Deadline for proposal submission: 28 February 2017
