Horizon 2020 – Societal Challenges - “Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future: Climate action in support of the Paris Agreement” –

H2020-LC-CLA-2018-2019-2020

 

Objective and description

New topics have been opened for submission of proposals under the Horizon 2020 Programme within the pillar “Societal Challenges”, under the work programme “Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials”, within the call for proposals “Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future: Climate action in support of the Paris Agreement” –  H2020-LC-CLA-2018-2019-2020.

 

Actions in this call aim to produce solutions for the achievement of the PA's mitigation and adaptation goals, and to further relevant scientific knowledge for the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and in advance of key PA-related milestones. They also support relevant EU policies and objectives.

 

The call for proposals refers to the following topics:

• LC-CLA-01-2018: Supporting the development of climate policies to deliver on the Paris Agreement, through Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs) (Research and Innovation Action)
• LC-CLA-03-2018: Climate change impacts in Europe (Research and Innovation Action)
• LC-CLA-04-2018: Resilience and sustainable reconstruction of historic areas to cope with climate change and hazard events (Research and Innovation Action)
• LC-CLA-08-2018: Addressing knowledge gaps in climate science, in support of IPCC reports (Research and Innovation Action)

 

Eligible applicants

All topics refer to “Research and Innovation actions”. For “Research and Innovation actions the eligible partners are: At least three legal entities established in a different Member State or associated country. All three legal entities shall be independent of each other.

 

Budget

Funding rates:

RIA Research and Innovation actions: 100%.

• LC-CLA-01-2018: Supporting the development of climate policies to deliver on the Paris Agreement, through Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs)

Research and Innovation Action: 25,000,000 EUR.

• LC-CLA-03-2018: Climate change impacts in Europe

Research and Innovation Action: 20,000,000 EUR.

• LC-CLA-04-2018: Resilience and sustainable reconstruction of historic areas to cope with climate change and hazard events

Research and Innovation Action: 18,000,000 EUR.

• LC-CLA-08-2018: Addressing knowledge gaps in climate science, in support of IPCC reports

Research and Innovation Action: 60,000,000 EUR.

 

Deadline for proposals’ submission

All topics have two-stage deadline models. First deadline is 27 February 2018, 17:00 (Brussels local time).

 

Second deadline for the proposals that passed the first-stage evaluation is 4 September 2018, 17:00 (Brussels local time).  

 

For two-stage submission schemes, you must submit a ‘short outline proposal’ for the first stage and you will be invited to submit your ‘full proposal’ for the second stage, if you pass the first-stage evaluation.
