Call for proposals
Horizon 2020 – Industrial Leadership – “Fast Track to Innovation (FTI)” – H2020-EIC-FTI-2018-2020
Objective and description
The
call “Fast Track to Innovation (FTI)” (Call identifier:
H2020-EIC-FTI-2018-2020) has been opened for submission of proposals
under the Horizon 2020 Programme within the pillar Industrial
Leadership.
The
Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) is now central part of the European
Innovation Council (EIC) pilot, targeting radically new, breakthrough
products, services, processes or business models that open up new
markets.
EIC Fast Track to innovation (FTI) is a
fully-bottom-up measure in Horizon 2020 promoting close-to-the-market
innovation activities that is open to all types of participants. EIC
FTI aims to reduce the time from idea to market and to increase the
participation in Horizon 2020 of industry, SMEs and first-time industry
applicants. Proposals must relate to any field of H2020 under the
specific objective "Leadership in enabling and industrial technologies"
and/or to any of the specific objectives under the priority "Societal
challenge".
EIC FTI also aims to nurture trans-disciplinary and cross-sector approaches. All kinds of innovation actors can work together to develop sustainable innovations addressing societal needs or areas under 'Leadership in enabling and industrial technologies' and,
at the same time, create viable business opportunities. This is why FTI
projects must be business-driven and clearly demonstrate a realistic
potential for quick deployment and market take-up of innovations.
