Call: “Industrial Sustainability” – H2020-NMBP-ST-IND-2018-2020
Objective and description
New
topics have been opened for submission of proposals under the Call
“Industrial Sustainability” (Call identifier:
H2020-NMBP-ST-IND-2018-2020) of Horizon 2020 Programme within the pillar
Industrial Leadership –. Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials,
Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing Work Programme
2018-2020.
The purpose of this call is
to further strengthen the global leadership of Europe’s industry in
environmental sustainability, through a combination of mature and
disruptive technologies. Success will be seen in making measurable
contributions to identified sustainable development goals.
This call contributes to the focus area 'Connecting economic and environmental gains – the Circular Economy' through:
· new technologies for the process industries such as industrial symbiosis and adaptation to new feedstock and sources of energy; and
· radical advances in catalysis.
It also contributes to the focus area 'Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future' through:
· the development of new materials and new technologies for renewable energy and energy storage; and
· new technologies for energy-efficient buildings.

Eligible applicants
For both “RIA Research and Innovation actions” as well as “IA Innovation actions” the eligible partners are: At least three legal entities established in a different Member State or associated country. All three legal entities shall be independent of each other.
Budget
Funding rates:
RIA Research and Innovation actions: 100%
IA Innovation actions: 70% (except for non-profit legal entities, where a rate of 100% applies)
RIA Research and Innovation action: EUR 38 million
RIA Research and Innovation action: EUR 38 million
IA Innovation action: EUR 97.5 million
· CE-SPIRE-03-2018: Energy and resource flexibility in highly energy intensive industries (IA 50%)

Deadline for proposals’ submission
The deadlines for each topic are:
First deadline is 23 January 2018, 17:00 (Brussels local time). Second deadline for the proposals that passed the first-stage evaluation is 28 June 2018, 17:00 (Brussels local time).
For two-stage submission schemes,
you must submit a ‘short outline proposal’ for the first stage and you
will be invited to submit your ‘full proposal’ for the second stage, if
you pass the first-stage evaluation.
