The Department of Library Science and Information Systems
is the oldest and holds the highest degree of entries among Information Science
related Departments of Higher Education in the country.
The DepartmentĒs development is similar to that of
several related departments abroad. It monitors the technological developments
and the changes these cause in the field of Information Management. The
curriculum consists of eight semesters providing students with theoretical and
applied training. In the last semester, the students carry out their practical
training while preparing a thesis in one of the subjects of their studies.
