AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the language of architectural drawings, sketches, rules, conventions and codes.
The objectives of the course are to help students develop a design vocabulary in order to express and represent their ideas in a clear and descriptive way.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course is organized according to four topics:
A. Orthographic projections: plans, elevations, cross sections, bottom view, scales, grids, two-dimensional sketch, technical presentation of drawings.
B. Axonometric projections: Isometric projections, dimetric projections, axonometric sections, techniques for the presentation of axonometric drawings.
C. Perspective views: front, one-point, two-points, many vanishing points, perspective sections, three-dimensional sketch, techniques for the presentation of perspective drawings.
D. Shadow projections: shadow projection to orthographic projections, axonometric and perspective projections, techniques for the presentation of casting shadow to all types of drawings.

Theory
The theory of the course includes weekly lectures on the above topics.

Workshop
It includes exercises on two-dimensional and three-dimensional design, representations of compositions of simple solids in 1:1 scale as well as architectural spaces at various scales.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
To acquire the ability to provide visual information on the form, function, structure and materials of three-dimensional constructions in order to ensure their applicability in real practice.
To acquire the ability to confront composition problems and illustrate their solution in a clear and descriptive way; also to edit the style of their designs.
