AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
The purpose of this course is to provide the student with the theoretical and practical knowledge that will help him/her develop his creativity,, critical understanding and ability for practical application of his ideas, in order to contribute successfully to an aesthetically upgraded environment, necessary for improving the quality of life. 


COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this course we deal with ways of rehabilitating existing buildings with functions related to show, entertainment and culture venues. The student is asked not only to develop the design principles of his/her study but to expand it to broader fields of research as well. To achieve this, students have to face several theoretical issues concerning the initial synthetic principles of their work.


EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
The aim of this course is for the student to understand the meaning and structure of the spaces and venues concerning show business (cinemas, theaters), entertainment (nightclubs, restaurants, bars) and cultural venues (cultural centers, art showrooms).
