AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
The aim of the course is to make students understand and assimilate the decorative composition as a whole system of modes, principles and values, to organize their skills in terms of design process and to proceed to the application of their outcomes on exterior or interior surfaces with the use of several techniques.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this workshop knowledge of all of the items constituting the decorative applications is provided, with special emphasis given on gaining experience and skills in theory, research, critical analysis, problem solving, drafting design views, projecting design specifications, technology, technical presentation and sensitivity in terms of the human needs in the environment mentioned. The workshop deals with the decorative applications as components of space, in terms of their geometry and their basic decorative vocabulary, their function, their understanding and their representation in space, but also with the teaching of important techniques such as stained glass and mosaic.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the completion of the course, students will be able to: analyze the decorative composition through the components and the principles which it is governed by, to organize methodically the design process, to respond to the appropriate resources and tools for the design implementation and to proceed in the creation of two dimensional designs on large surfaces.
