In the framework of the
sub-project ISR99 “Strategic intervention for the restoration of the damages
caused by the 1999 earthquake at the Byzantine church of Ag. Petros (St.
Peter), in Eastern Attica, Greece” the Technological Educational Institute
(T.E.I.) of Athens Athens Friday

Our
engagement to the project, has posed a number of questions regarding the ways
being used, at international level, to protect our cultural heritage against
natural hazards. We have been led by our commitment to discuss such issues as
well as to diffuse the outcomes of the project, in order to organise a one-day
meeting under the general title “Prevention
and treatment of the damages caused by earthquakes to Byzantine monuments”.Contributions will be made by specialists working
at the Greek Ministry of Culture and ICCROM, Professors teaching at Greek and
foreign Universities.
