Spiros Kostopoulos
Dr.
Spiros Kostopoulos received his B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering
from the Department of Medical Instruments Technology of the
Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Greece, in 2000, and the
M.Sc. degree in Medical Physics from the University of Surrey, UK, in
2004. He received his Ph.D. in Medical Physics in 2009 from the
University of Patras, Greece.
His main research activities lie in the field of Medical Image Processing, Image Analysis and Pattern Recognition, and Medical Informatics. He has 18 publications in scientific journals and 37 publications in international and national conferences. His scientific publications, starting from 2005, have received 41 not-self citations so far.
Since 2009, he is an Adjunct Laboratory Instructor at the Department of Medical Instruments Technology, Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Greece. Today, he works as a Post Doctoral researcher in bioinformatics, awarded a grant from the National State Scholarship Foundation of Greece.
