European Food Safety Authority - “Call for expressions of interest for Scientific Panels and Scientific Committee Experts”
Objectives and description
On
1 June 2017, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) will open
registration to experts to join its ten Scientific Panels and its
Scientific Committee.
If you want to be an EFSA scientific expert, you can already start your
application by creating or updating your general profile (see below for
details).
EFSA is an independent science-driven organisation
working in the interest of European consumers, animals and the
environment. Their motto is “Trusted science for safe food” and the
knowledge, experience and decision-making of over 200 scientific experts
are at the heart of their work. Their dedication makes it possible for
EFSA to carry out its important mission.
The scientific experts are necessary in many fields:
from toxicology, chemistry, microbiology, zoology, epidemiology and
plant sciences to human medicine, veterinary medicine, nutrition and
ecology.
The
scientists will be part of an international and interdisciplinary team
contributing to food safety for millions of Europeans.
Through EFSA’s active international cooperation efforts the scientists’ work will have global relevance.
Eligible Candidates
Experienced and independent scientists with the following basic requirements:
· a university degree;
· minimum seven years of professional experience in a food-safety related scientific area.
Deadline of proposals' submission
The deadline for submission of applications is 8 September 2017

2. Sign up for job alerts on the same page to receive notifications when job opportunities arise.
3. For the panel renewal you need to mark the area ‘Life science’ in the category ‘Interests’.
Scientists need to submit an application starting 1st of June to be considered as a candidate.
Registration of your general profile will not substitute a properly submitted application.
