Call for Proposals: Mobility for Regional Excellence Programme - "MoRE2020"

Call for proposals

Mobility for Regional Excellence Programme – “MoRE2020”

Objective and description

Region Västra Götaland invites experienced researchers from all nations to submit research proposals to “MoRE2020”, the Mobility for Regional Excellence Programme.

The programme was launched as a pilot, co-funded by FP7/Marie Curie, and ran for four years, starting in February 2014. The purpose of MoRE was to attract international researchers to Västra Götaland’s excellent research milieus and to offer researchers from Västra Götaland the opportunity of visiting and working at excellent research milieus abroad.

Mobility for Regional Excellence 2020 (MoRE2020) is the continuation of the successful MoRE programme, co-financed under Horizon 2020.

MoRE2020 funds one year collaborative projects between two research and innovation milieus together with an end-user and is open for both incoming and outgoing mobility.

The proposed research must fall within one or more of the following 13 areas:

·         Sustainable transport solutions

·         Life science

·         Green chemistry

·         Marine environment and the maritime sector

·         Urban development

·         Material sciences

·         Sustainable production

·         Information and communication technologies

·         Energy

·         Textile/Fashion/Design

·         Cultural and creative industry

·         Food production/Agriculture and forestry

·         Tourism

Eligible applicants

Eligible applicants to MoRE2020 are experienced researchers (holders of PhD at the date of the deadline or 4 years equivalent research experience) together with a research and innovation milieu in Västra Götaland.

Eligible research and innovation milieus include universities, science parks, research institutes and university hospitals.

For outgoing mobility to a third country, applying researchers must be a national or long-term resident of an EU member state or associated country.

Researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host research and innovation milieu for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline. Researchers that are already permanently employed by the research and innovation milieu where the research training activities are planned to take place and that is recruiting them may not be supported.

Budget

For each fellow, the MoRE2020 programme pays 870 000 SEK (89 113 EUR) as a contribution to salary, mobility allowance and OH costs.

Half of the contribution will be disbursed when six months of the research project have been completed and the other half will be disbursed following the completion of the 12 month research project.

The project must be completed no later than 24 months after the applicant has received the final decision from Region Västra Götaland.

Deadline for proposals’ submission

The final proposal (Application form and all appendices) must be sent by e-mail as a PDF document to regionutveckling@vgregion.se

The signed Declaration Form page must be also sent in by e-mail.
