Partner search under LIFE 2017 Programme
The Region of Andalusia in Spain is looking for partners in order to submit a project proposal under the LIFE 2017 programme with the title “SHARED MANAGEMENT FOR CLIMATE ADAPTATION ON THE ANDALUSIAN COUNTRYSIDE”.
The project aims to
combat climate change through actions to adapt natural and agricultural
areas in order to guarantee the provision of ecosystem services.
The project includes a
Program of Good Practices with measures for climate change adaptation.
As far as sustainability is concerned, one of the most innovative
actions of the project is the implementation of a Governance System that
will ensure the coordinated and participatory involvement of all social
actors of the territory and their commitment to continue working once
the project is finished. Moreover, the project includes a Transfer Plan
that aims at promoting a territorial innovation environment that will
benefit local farmers and replicating the results in other European
countryside areas.
Partners sought: countryside European regions where LIFE ADAPT CAMPIÑA results could be replicated. If possibly in the Mediterranean area, with territories classified under a natural protection regime (eg Natura 2000) and also dealing with problems derived from an increase of aridity in the area that is expected to continue.
