Objectives and description
The
European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has published a call for tenders
for “Crowdsourcing: engaging communities effectively in food and feed
risk assessment (exploring the collaborative model)” -
OC/EFSA/AMU/2017/02.
The aim of this procurement procedure is to
conclude a direct contract for the execution of crowdsourcing pilot
projects in some of the areas of EFSA's work identified in the project
OC/EFSA/AMU/2015/03 ‘Crowdsourcing: engaging communities effectively in
food and feed risk assessment’ as having high potential to benefit from
crowdsourcing of collaborative nature.
The specific objective of the contract resulting from the present procurement procedure is to run 5 crowdsourcing pilot projects in identified areas of EFSA’ work, in particular:
· two projects in the area of Data collection and validation:
o
collection of data on feeding practices and food consumption patterns
of infants (ages birth to 3 months) including demographic
characteristics of the household and anthropometric measures of the
child.
o validation of data: crowdsourcing the validation of a dataset
· one project in the area of Innovation:
collaborative project focused on proposing a new methodological
approach in the area of dose-response modelling using summary
(aggregated) data including heterogeneity
· one project in the area of Systematic literature review: crowdsourcing of abstract screening using an online platform
· one project in the area of Consultation: to widen the contribution in reviewing or co-creating protocols, opinions or guidance.
Eligible participants - Minimum conditions
Natural and legal persons
from one of the EU Member States and all natural and legal persons in a
third country which has a special agreement with the European Union in
the field of public procurement on the conditions laid down in that
agreement.
Funding conditions and duration
The estimated value is 200.000 EUR excluding VAT and is not subject to renewal.
The maximum duration of the tasks is 24 months.
Deadline of proposals' submission
The tender must be received no later than 3 November 2017, 14:30 Brussels local time.
Tenders must be submitted electronically
via the e-Submission application in one of the official languages of
the European Union, preferably in English, through the e-tendering
website.
