Call: “Governance for the Future” – H2020-SC6-GOVERNANCE-2018-2019-2020

 

Objective and description

New topics have been opened for submission of proposals under the Horizon 2020 Programme within the pillar “Societal Challenges”, under the work programme “Europe in a changing world – Inclusive, innovative and reflective societies”, within the call for proposals “Governance for the Future” – H2020-SC6-GOVERNANCE-2018-2019-2020.

 

The aim of the call is to enhance the evidence base and provide sound policy and technological options in order to develop adapted governance structures at various relevant levels.

 

The call for proposals refers to the following topics:

• DT-GOVERNANCE-05-2018-2019-2020: New forms of delivering public goods and inclusive public services (Coordination and Support Action)
• GOVERNANCE-02-2018-2019: Past, present and future of differentiation in European governance (Research and Innovation Action)
• GOVERNANCE-03-2018: Addressing populism and boosting civic and democratic engagement (Research and Innovation Action)
• GOVERNANCE-06-2018: Trends and forward-looking scenarios in global governance (Research and Innovation Action)
• GOVERNANCE-08-2018: Partnering for viability assessments of innovative solutions for markets outside Europe (Coordination and Support Action)
• GOVERNANCE-14-2018: ERA-Net Co-fund - Renegotiating democratic governance in times of disruptions (ERA-NET Cofund)
• GOVERNANCE-15-2018: Taking lessons from the practices of interdisciplinarity in Europe (Coordination and Support Action)
• SU-GOVERNANCE-11-2018: Extreme ideologies and polarisation (Coordination and Support Action)

 

Eligible applicants

The topics GOVERNANCE-02-2018-2019, GOVERNANCE-03-2018, GOVERNANCE-06-2018 refer to “Research and Innovation actions”. For “Research and Innovation actions” the eligible partners are: At least three legal entities established in a different Member State or associated country. All three legal entities shall be independent of each other.

 

The topics DT-GOVERNANCE-05-2018-2019-2020, GOVERNANCE-08-2018, GOVERNANCE-15-2018, SU-GOVERNANCE-11-2018 refer to “Coordination and support actions”. For “Coordination and support actions”, the eligible partner could be at least one legal entity established in an EU Member State or Horizon 2020 associated country.

 

The topic GOVERNANCE-14-2018 refers to “ERA-NET Cofund Actions”. For “ERA-NET Cofund Actions” the eligible partners are: at least three legal entities established in a different EU Member State or Horizon 2020 associated country. All three legal entities must be independent of each other.

 

Budget

Funding rates:

RIA Research and Innovation actions: 100%.

CSA Coordination and support actions: 100%.

ERA-NET Cofund: 33%.

• GOVERNANCE-02-2018-2019: Past, present and future of differentiation in European governance

Research and Innovation Action: 9,000,000 EUR.

• GOVERNANCE-03-2018: Addressing populism and boosting civic and democratic engagement

Research and Innovation Action: 9,000,000 EUR.           

• GOVERNANCE-06-2018: Trends and forward-looking scenarios in global governance

Research and Innovation Action: 6,000,000 EUR.

• GOVERNANCE-08-2018: Partnering for viability assessments of innovative solutions for markets outside Europe

Coordination and Support Action: 9,000,000 EUR.

• GOVERNANCE-14-2018: ERA-Net Co-fund - Renegotiating democratic governance in times of disruptions

ERA-NET Cofund: 3,000,000 EUR.

• GOVERNANCE-15-2018: Taking lessons from the practices of interdisciplinarity in Europe

Coordination and Support Action: 1,500,000 EUR.

Deadline for proposals’ submission

The deadline for all topics is 13 March 2018, 17:00 (Brussels local time).
