Course objective
The course aims for developing, through knowledge, the basis which can offer and achieve the proper selection of constructive and decorative materials, so that functional and aesthetic demands of space design are covered, taking account of environmental needs, as well as the healthcare of the users.
Course outline
The above objective is achieved through the presentation of the basic concepts and groups of constructive and decorative materials, which are used for the materialization of every technical work within the field of interior architecture and design. A methodological approach is developed for the problems of materials selection, connected with their characteristics, their behavior, their relevancy with other materials, their life-cycle, always concerning the influence of external factors and environmental demands, which can affect the constructions, the implementation of the materials selected and their maintenance, within the providence of misplaced applications.
