Program of Postgraduate Studies in “Clinical and Pediatric Nursing-Research

 

The Medical School of National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Nursing Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, organized and operated by the Academic Year 2006-07 Postgraduate Programme (MSc program) on the "Clinical and Pediatric Nursing - Research."

Its objective is not only the theoretical and practical training (clinical and laboratory) of physicians and other healthcare professionals, but also the development of research activity in the field.

The program has already established collaborations at both the educational and research levels with international hospitals. Each year the postgraduate students travel abroad to visit the cooperating hospitals. The registered students come from diverse allied fields, a fact that enriches the program.

The aim is to educate and refine young scientists in the broad and growing field of Medicine and Nursing Science.

The Graduate Program are accepted if they meet the conditions for successful completion of the course graduates as Medicine and Nursing and other Health Sciences dealing with children and adolescents from Universities and Technological Educational Institutes.

The duration of the program is four semesters. For obtaining the degree requirement is the attendance and successful examination of compulsory and elective courses. The courses include theoretical and clinical training tutorial. In the last semester, students develop thesis which presents before a three-member committee.
