AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
The course aims to provide knowledge and methods for refurbishing existing buildings characterized as architectural monumental heritage, within the subject of interior architecture.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The theoretical and practical background for planning and designing interior spaces in existing historical buildings is based on analyzing their morphology, construction, typology, interior configuration and decorative patterns, as well as the constructive and decorative materials used. In this procedure, the relation between cultural heritage and architectural intervention is examined. Issues of conservation and evaluation of architectural monuments along with the examination of ways of rehabilitating them are faced in this course.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
To develop the student¢s ability to refurbish and design interior spaces of traditional and historical buildings, through the critical consideration and interpretation of historical continuity and sustainability within our cultural heritage.
