Subjects

Number of Courses. The curriculum includes 36 compulsory courses and 8 electives (4 pairs). One course is to be selected from each of the 4 elective pairs, so that the total number of courses taken by students amounts to 39. The thesis and vocational training is added to this number.

Semesters. Each semester includes 5 to 7 courses and involves 23 to 26 teaching hours per week. Elective courses are offered from the 5th semester onwards: two courses in the 5th semester of which one is to be selected, four in the 6th from which two are to be selected and two in the 7th from which one is to be selected. The 8th semester is devoted to the thesis and vocational training.

Theory and Practice. The total number of hours for theoretical courses is 122 (72%) and laboratory hours are 47 (28%).

Course work and Credits The average workload per semester ranges between 855 and 900 hours and 30 credits are awarded per semester. The same applies to the 8th semester, in which 20 credits are obtained from the thesis and 10 from the vocational training.
