AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
The development of a design methodology of furniture - mobile, fixed, or individually produced - in all its parameters up to its manufacturing and its final installation in space. 

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The design methodology of furniture - mobile or of special construction - up to completion, follows a series of parameters and phases, such as understanding of the subject, market research, sketches, models, general and construction drawings (axonometric, perspective etc), color and material suggestions etc.
The furniture, as a physical and aesthetic extension of the human body, pleads to rest and disposition, both of the energy and of the matter by which everyday man exists in space and time.
Aesthetic and construction principles along with social and cultural particularities as well as economic factors influence the character of furniture design.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
To familiarize students with the furniture design methodology and construction.
