AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
Students will enhance their knowledge on the art of ceramics. They will have the freedom to create original proposals and propose innovations and also the potential to make adaptations in the production process or in the form of an object in order to enhance its utility. Students will be equipped to respond to contemporary influences investigating new ideas and exploring solutions inspired by new technologies and media such as the internet.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Understanding of design in creating ceramic objects. Students will learn about aesthetics as well as the technical aspect of the manufacture. They will also develop an apppreciation of innovation development, marketing research, and creative expression. In the  practice-based part of this course, students will enrich their skills and understanding in design, ergonomics, innovative expression and mass production. Students will present complete designs for small scale production and mass production of ceramics objects, using plaster moulds.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course, students will be  able to manufacture original ceramic forms in small scale or mass production.
